WHY I LOVED NARRATING THIS AUDIOBOOK

This is an extremely well-written novel. Malcolm Archibald is an experienced writer of historical military fiction and blends historical accuracy and illuminating details together with a very human story. And one that is balanced and nuanced in retelling a story of British colonialism at its not-so finest. The pronunciations of the Zulu names were challenging, but the detail powers such authenticity, that is was worth the effort.
